  1. H. C . Andersen Hans Christian Andersen was born in Odense, in Jylland (The big peninsula in Denmark). The 2th of april 1805. (Birth) The 4th of august 1875. (Died) Now you may think: ’Who was he?’. No problem. I’ll tell you: H. C. Andersen was a famous poet and writer. For an eksample, he wrote the story about a little cygnet, who thought that he was a duckling, and the story called; ’The little mermaid’. He also wrote other great and famous stories and poems. His stories is also famous in our days, and every child in Denmark know who he is. In Copenhagen (our Capital) is there a statue of the little mermaid.

  2. Queen Magrethe 2. of Denmark Magrethe Alexandrine Thorhildur Ingrid, was born the 16th of april 1940. Magrethe 2. is the Danish queen. She is Denmarks public image, but she doesn’t resolve anything in Denmark. We have a democratic form of government. We have a national parliament in Denmark. Magrethe is very creative, and designed costumes for a theatre play, about H. C. Andersen.

  3. Tycho Brahe Thyge Ottesen Brahe was born in Skåne the 14th december 1546. The 14th of december 1546. (Birth) The 24th of oktober 1601. (Died) He was a famous astronomer, and he is regarded as the founder of the modern observating astronomy.

  4. Jørn Utzon Jørn Oberg Utzon was born the 9th of april 1918. The 9th of april 1918. (Birth) The 29th of november 2008. (Died) He was a famous architect, who for example made the opera house in Sydney, and The Fredensborg houses (it’s funny, cause we live in Fredensborg (a city)) and the Kingo houses in Helsingør (Elsinore).
