  9. ESTILOS GERENCIALES • ESTILO AUTORITARIO: Al liderazgo autoritario se le ha descrito como estilo directivo, centrado en la producción, paternalista, tradicional, o como liderato instrumental. El gerente autoritario puede alcanzar sus objetivos ejerciendo su autoridad en una forma más o menos autocrática para obtener y distribuir los recursos. Establece, a través de un proceso racional-intelectual, el ambiente interno en el cual se desarrollará el trabajo y se alcanzarán los objetivos

ESTILOS GERENCIALES • ESTILO DEMOCRÁTICO: El liderazgo democrático se le describe como participativo, centrado en los empleados y en los grupos decisionales, y es perceptivo a las demandas y expectativas de los núcleos de la clientela. Pero al ponderar los estilos gerenciales en la administración pública, observamos que el estilo autoritario es el que ha predominado tradicionalmente por los requerimientos de la burocracia
