  2. Children and Young People • We need to develop career progression for young people in rural areas – this means new opportunities to progress between sectors • Communication in ways that are attractive to young people • Facilities that young people want!

  3. Private Sector • Same language • Early engagement • Understand the psychology of each sector – the private sector responds to a challenge! • Look at PLACES rather than projects

  4. Private Sector • Empowered, accessible • Give clear answers, continuity • Public sector provide a helpful framework • Rural areas need networks of mutual understanding to overcome the the geography

  5. Community and Voluntary • Focus on places not each others domains to break silos – this is more critical in rural areas • We need better gateways into each others organizations • Communities need to be empowered through local information – mapping etc

  6. Public • Cross sector working is the only way to succeed in rural working • We need enabling legislation, easing of regulation • Co-location, shared resources, values, skills
