  2. 1951 Matrix core Jay Forrester creates the Matrix Memory Core.

  3. 1969 1 Kb Ram chip Intel begins as chip designers and produce a 1 Kb RAM chip, the largest memory chip to date.

  4. 1971 256-bit Programmable Intel releases the 1101 chip, a 256-bit programmable memory.

  5. 1975 4kb Memory board Bob Marsh manufactures the first Processor Technology’s 4 Kb memory boards for the Altair.

  6. 1984 IBM PC Board The original version of the IBM PC compatible hardware platform.

  7. 1985 IBM 512K The 512K memory chip is created by Do Kay.

  8. 2000 128 MB DIMM Ricoh Computer Manufacturer creates the 128 Mb DIMM Memory Expansion chip

  9. 2010 2x 2GB DIMM DDR2-800 NewEgg.com releases the 2x 2 Gb DIMM DDR2-800 memory chip.
