BROADBAND CAPACITY PLAN 2011-12 BSNL CO has allotted 1,51,552 ports under Next Generation Broadband Project. 372 DSLAMs are allotted to TN circle. Installation commenced in all SSA’s and so far,368 DSLAM’s with 1,50,752 ports integrated in all SSA’s. 4 DSLAMs are pending for integration at Coimbatore. A/T completed for 106 DSLAM locations. Bandwidth for the LANSWs and OCLANs to Tier-1 switches are to be augmented to 1GE.
BROADBAND CAPACITY PLAN 2012-2013 KTK Circle had allotted 82 DSLAMs of 64 ports (ADSL ) total of 5248 ports for TN Circle. The equipment will be allotted to the SSAs as and when it is received. Further corporate had proposed to allot 52,048 ports to TN Circle. The site details are being worked out and will be intimated to SSAs for final clearance from the SSAs.
Bb physical & financial targets for 2012-12 BSNL C.O has fixed physical target of 3,10,000 BB connections for the year 2012-13. SSA wise target is being worked out and uploaded in intranet shortly. BSNL C.O. has fixed financial target of Rs. 356.79 Crores for BB including VAS, NMEICT, USO for the year 2012-13. TR wing will intimate the SSA wise financial targets to all SSA’s. All out efforts to be made to achieve physical and financial targets for the year 2012-12.
USO exchanges having Zero USO connection & < 5 Subsidy claim
NMEICT project VPNoBB provision for all the pending feasible colleges are to be continued. WiMAX/FTTX/3G technologies may be utilized for NME connections wherever feasible. Allotment of WiMAX CPEs to SSAs have already been communicated to SSAs. These CPEs are to be utilized only for VPNoWiMAX connections to colleges under NMEICT Project. Cost of Data card / CPEs ( wi-max ) are to be borne by colleges. SSAs are instructed to pursue once again & issue one more letter to the Colleges / Universities who have not paid 25 % payment for the VPNoBB connections / 1 Gbps connectivity and the final list of non-paid Colleges / Universities are to be furnished to Circle Office for the submission of same to BSNL Corporate Office by 30-04-2012.

MIGRATION OF CDOT MAX DSS TO CDOT NGN: BSNL CO has proposed for migration of CDOT Switches to NGN , for which a proposal has been sent to BSNL Corporate office , furnishing the requirement of Hard ware and Software accessories . Consolidated requirement based on SSAs projection for all CDOT switches is as below. BSNL Co likely to float the tender during 2012-13
LOADING OF IP TAX • The overall loading of IP TAX as on 31.3.2012 is 47.55%. Trichy , Kumbakonam and Salem TDM TAX’s closed after complete migration to IP TAX. • POI A/T is pending for some operators at Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri,Erode ,Thanjavur , Vellore SSAs . • POI A/T completed and migration is in progress at Karaikudi . • Nagercoil and Tirunelveli TMGs migration of POIs completed and decommission of existing TDM TAX is pending. • Tuticorin all POIs are migrated and except ‘1’ calls for CDOT routed through IPTAX.
Transmission Points for SSA attention Circle Planning for Optic fiber cable and equipment will be conducted second week of May 2012. Call letter will be uploaded in the intranet. Concerned officers may be deputed to discuss the status. Monthly utilization of MLLN modems may be sent. Bulk allotment of transmission items from CTSD Madurai has been made and SSA may collect the same. AT of the equipment installed and commissioned may be completed to bring the items into inventory. All lengthy 20 mts / 10 mts patch cards / pigtails may be converted to short length FC-PC / SC- PC by using the local vendors.
Transmission Points for SSA attention • SSAs are requested to furnish user ID details for access of GIS platform for viewing of OFC data of BSNL and other CPSUs . • All SSAs are requested to submit the particulars for Circle Planning Board Meeting . (From NGC,CBT,MA,TNJ,SLM,TVL SSAs only particulars have been received) • While coming for the CPB meeting the following information may be brought. (Both hard & soft copy) (i) Total no. of Transmission equipments, working details Station wise, (CPE8, CPE21, ADM1, ADM16, MADM, SDH/PDH etc. (ii) MLLN equipments in stations with working details. • 24F OF cable Bits 25 KMs allotted to 11 SSA’s for EB works which may be utilized judiciously.
