  2. Warm-up Rewrite your argumentative paragraph from last class on paper that I provide. Look over your paper and substitute any pronouns. Please write legibly. Turn in for a grade. At top of paper, write the following: Argumentative Paragraph Give your argument a ‘title’. Your name and the date

The invasion of Normandy (D-DAY) June 6, 1944 • The invasion of Normandy (code name: Operation Overlord) was the greatest seaborne invasion of modern times and is considered the decisive battle of the war in Western Europe. Before this battle the German army firmly occupied France and had access to the raw materials and industrial capacity of western Europe. Resistance by the Allies had not been effective up to this time. • After the successful invasion at Normandy (France) the tide of war changed . The invasion of Normandy proved a psychological and physical blow to the German military from which Germany would never recover.
