NTC/EASIER Responsibility SIS Vendor Responsibility Provide Data File Format, Schema Definition File (XSD) Develop support for Data File Format Provide technical support to SIS vendors Produce test Data Files, Validate using XSD file in an XML Editor Correct data format issues At this point, the vendor’s SIS can produce valid XML files. Provide Software update To Beta Test Districts identified By EASIER and SIS Vendors (continued)

SIS Vendor Responsibility Beta Test District Responsibility Provide Data File support To School Districts Produce Data Files from Updated SIS Upload Data Test Files to ITC Beta Test District Receives validation warnings and errors from ITC Beta Test District reports/discusses validation warnings and errors from ITC with EASIER consultant. Correct fileformat issues found during ITC validation EASIER consultant reports file format issues found during validation to SIS vendor Once validation warnings and errors are resolved, extract is validated (approved for use). At this point, the district’s SIS extracts valid data files. The SIS vendor is approved for use. SIS Vendor releases update to customers.

  4. Individual District Responsibility District signs up to participate: Receive login information and participate in webinar training. Produce Data Files from Updated SIS Upload Data Test Files to ITC Examine validation warnings and errors from ITC (Is documentation needed?) Correct and resubmit as needed. Examine individual transcripts & records for accuracy. (Is documentation needed?) Begin using ITC to send & receive records and transcripts.
