  1. How to Register for ESRI’s GIS Online Course Yong Choi School of Business CSU, Bakersfield

  2. First, you need to visit the “ESRI Training” website. Please click following link to visit the site http://www.esri.com/training/main

  3. Please click the second picture which is “My Virtual Campus Training.”

  4. Since you are a new student, click the “Create New Account” link. And then, a web form will be appeared -- see the next slide.

  5. Please fill out the “Create An Account” form like below and then, submit the form. Almost right away, you will receive an email from the ESRI – see next slide

  6. Once your “Create An Account” form was filled out and then submitted, you will receive an email from the ERSI, which is similar to below. You just need to follow the instruction on the email. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to your ESRI Global Account. Name: John Doe Username: csub Before you are able to use your ESRI Global Account, you must click the link below to complete your registration and to validate your e-mail address: https://webaccounts.esri.com/CAS/index.cfm?fa=v&id=fsexaoak If you have any problems or questions, please contact us at accounts@esri.com Thanks, ESRI Global Account Team

  7. After confirmation of your email, you can log in to the site through the web page like below right away or you can login later through the “ESRI Training and Education” Home page.

  8. After you log in to the site, click the “My Training” link. Get your GIS code for from class website (look for the “GIS code” link) and then enter the code to the “Start a New Web Course” text box – see the next slide for detail

  9. How to enroll GIS web Courses • Go to www.esri.com/mytraining and click My Virtual Campus Training. • If you have an Esri global account, log in with your username and password. If you do not, click "Need an Esri Global Account?" and create an account. • Get the the 14-digit course access code from the class website (Look for "GIS Code" link).

  10. How to enroll GIS web Courses (cont’) • Please make sure to use ONLY the GIS code that is assigned to you. Do not use others’ code • Enter the 14-digit course access code above in the "Start a New Web Course" box. • The course is added to your Courses in Progress list. Click the course title to begin. • When you pass the course exam, your course certificate of completion is added to the My Virtual Campus Training > Transcript page.

  11. How to enroll GIS web Courses (cont’) • Access to each course expires one year from the date of the e-mail. Upon expiration, you will no longer be able to access the course materials. • The course and certificate will remain in your transcript. • If you have any questions, please contact us - Customer Service, service@esri.com

  12. Now, you are ready to begin the course.

  13. Just click the course link. Then, the course will be started right away.

  14. Course Orientation • Now, you are successfully finished this tutorial. • Please go back to the website and “Course Orientation” from the class website. • There are Flash Version and Non-Flash Version of course orientations.
