  2. History • According to Chinese folklore, around 2737 BC, Emperor Shen Nung discovered green tea. A breeze caused some dry leaves to fall into the bowl of hot water. The liquid turned brown and tea was created. The emperor liked the drink

  3. Health Benefits • Antioxidants in tea are good for you. • They can: improve bone density strengthen teeth lower cholesterol lower blood sugar and improve your immune system

  4. There are many types of tea..

  5. White Tea • White tea is the purest form of tea, and it’s the most expensive. It is the rarest type of tea. Once a year, in the springtime the baby tea leaves are plucked. Then it is briefly withered, giving the tea the most delicate flavor.

  6. Green Tea • The most popular tea in China is green tea. Ten percent of the world’s production of tea is green tea. Because it is the least oxidized, it has the freshest taste of all the types of tea and it has the most antioxidants intact.

  7. Black Tea • The most popular worldwide tea is black tea. Giving it the most robust flavor, it is the more processed than other teas.

  8. Herbal Tea • Herbal teas are not really made from camellia sinesis. It is just processed and prepared the same way, by steeping herbs in hot water.
