  2. biografía • Venezolana diseñadora de moda • Nació María Carolina Josefina Pacanins y Niño el 8 de enero de 1939 en Caracas, Venezuela • Familia rica: madre y abuela viajaban a París para comprar la ropa de Balenciaga y Lanvin • Ha casado dos veces, tiene 4 hijas • En sus años treinta, apareció en listas internacionales de las mejores vestidas • Animada por Count Rudi Crespi y Diana Vreeland (icon de la moda) para crear su propia línea de ropa • Esta línea tuvo mucho éxito • 1980: fundó su compañía, Carolina Herrera New York y en 1981 se movió a Nueva York
