Point of View. Point of View :. The perspective a story is told from. It establishes the story’s narrator . First Person:. The writer uses I or me when the narrator is speaking. We only get the narrator’s perspective The narrator could be the protagonist or main character.

  2. Point of View : • The perspective a story is told from. • It establishes the story’s narrator.

  3. First Person: • The writer uses Ior mewhen the narrator is speaking. • We only get the narrator’s perspective • The narrator could be the protagonist or main character. • They could be a bystander. • How does this impact the story?

  4. Second Person: • The writer uses you when explaining things the main character does. • This is meant to make the reader feel like they are the narrator.

  5. Third Person: • The narrator isn’t one of the characters. • The writer refers to all characters by nameor with he or she.

  6. Third Person Omniscient Omniscient= all knowing • The narrator is able to be in all characters’ heads. • How does this impact the story?

  7. Third Person Limited • The narrator is able to be in some of the characters’ heads. • How does this impact the story?

  8. Third Person Objective • The narrator is able to be in none of the character’s heads. • How does this impact the story?
