Task Explanation • Your team has 10 minutes to develop a 5 minute presentation from the following topics • Clarify what the ‘equal pay issue’ means? • Describe the key events in the campaign for equal pay up until 1972 • Assess the significance of the campaign for equal pay • Evaluate whether women in Australia have achieved equality in the workplace • Appoint a • Leader: One person to lead the team through the task, coordinate the searchers and the scribe, ensure you complete the task before the end of this lesson • Searchers: Two people to scan the textbook for the relevant information • Scribe: One person to capture your information for the presentation (PowerPoint) • Lead Presenter: a person to lead the group when presenting your answer • Structure your response like you are planning an extended response answer for the SC • Deconstruct the question: what do the key words mean i.e. what is the examiner asking for when they ask you to ‘Clarify’, ‘Describe’, ‘Assess’, and ‘Evaluate’? • Intro with your topic sentence and your thesis • Arguments with a topic statement, your evidence and your examples • Conclusion which should restate your thesis • You have 10 minutes to complete the research (HINT: use your textbook – its all in there) and write the presentation • Your presentation may be a PowerPoint
