Scientific interests • Structural investigations of polymer solutions, gels, ultrahigh strength fibers and carbon fibers • Determination of correlation between structure and properties in polymers • Advance of gel-spinning technology for manufacturing ultrahigh strength fibers based on ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene • Structural investigations of porous and filled polymeric materials - blends and composites (including nanocomposites) • Development of effective spectroscopic approach for characterizing porous and composites materials – pore or particle size distribution, average pore or particle size, aggregation • Studyof gelation and self-organization in hydrogels based on bioactive substances, for example aqueous solutions of amino acid cysteine and silver nitrate • Investigation of bioantioxidant activity in plants • Advance of spectroscopic technique for monitoring air pollutions – FTIR study of lichens
