  3. What are the rules of your visa? • Must study on a full time course • Must attend at least 85% • Must NOT work more than 20 hours per week during term time

  4. Extending your Tier 4 General (student) Visa • When does your visa expire? • Make a note in your diary for a month before it expires • Go to this website: http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/current_students/international_students/immigration/extending.html • Download the Tier 4 (General) form and list of documents

  5. How can we help you? We operate the Student Batch Scheme: • We can check your form • We can make sure you have all the documents • askBU can issue your visa letter

  7. You may have problems extending your visa if: • You have bad attendance – less than 85% • You have gaps in your studies • You have been working too many hours • You do not have enough money PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE US IF ANY OF THESE APPLY TO YOU

  8. Registering with the Police Check your passport! Where do you have to go? • The Foreign Nationals Registration Office Madeira Road Police Station, Lansdowne What do you need? • Passport • 2 passport size photos • registration fee (£34.00 per person) When do you need to register? • Within 7 days of arrival

  9. Registering with the Police cont.. You will be given a Police Registration Certificate You MUST update your Police Registration Certificate after: • Visa extension • Change of address • Change of institution
