Who am I?. By Morgan Metzger. I was born September 7, 1533. My mother was killed when I was 3. A while after my mother died my father married a women and she had a baby boy. I was a hard working student with an amazing memory. . I studied Greek, Latin, Italian, French, and Spanish.

  1. Who am I? By Morgan Metzger

  2. I was born September 7, 1533.

  3. My mother was killed when I was 3.

  4. A while after my mother died my father married a women and she had a baby boy.

  5. I was a hard working student with an amazing memory.

  6. I studied Greek, Latin, Italian, French, and Spanish.

  7. I was also talented for music and my handwriting was admired for its beauty.

  8. When I was 13 my father died and my brother was 9 but became king.

  9. After ruling 6 years my brother died and my sister became queen.

  10. Everyone in England disliked my sister and thought she was evil.

  11. She married Prince Phillip II the future king of Spain.

  12. Everyone disliked Prince Phillip too.

  13. They thought he would steal England for himself.

  14. An idea was formed to try to get rid of my sister and make me queen instead.

  15. It failed though.

  16. And I was taken to the tower of London.

  17. My own mother died in this tower and so would I.

  18. For two months I waited in fear.

  19. Finally I was sent to a different tower were I was kept under arrest.

  20. To the joy of many people, Mary, died and I became queen.

  21. I chose Sir William Cecil as my chief advertiser. • I was wise and knew I could trust him.

  22. Everyone hoped I would marry so I could have children to rule after me.

  23. I got an offer from Prince Phillip. • But I did not want to make the same mistake as my sister.

  24. What about the other nice gentleman who offered? • I didn’t say yes or no. I said maybe.

  25. But one day when I was 29 I got deathly smallpoxs and survived.

  26. When I started to get my health back I started going in little villages to see everyone happy. • They loved me so much they gave me flowers and cake and even wrote speeches for me. • They loved me and called me Good Queen Bess.

  27. 17 years later I decided I must have children. I was 46 and running out of time.

  28. So my future husband Alecon came to England secretly.

  29. Everyone was against my marriage though.

  30. Pope Pinus made it a law that my catholic subjects do not have to obey me anymore.

  31. On July 29th, 1588 war started! • It was against the Spanish.

  32. After fighting we won. • And not even one of our ships were taken.

  33. But in the morning of March 24th, 1603 I died peacefully in my sleep.

  34. Who am I?

  35. I’m queen Elizabeth the 1st!
