  2. Introduction CAT, also called as the Common Admission Test, is held every year for students who aspire to pursue management studies. Based on the academic percentage and score in the test, students are granted admission in top business schools in India including IIMs. More than 2.32 lakh students register each year for this exam. Over 100 business schools in India accept the CAT score including the IIMs.

  3. Eligibility Criteria of CAT 2017 In order to appear in this exam, the following eligibility criteria have to be fulfilled: • For General category candidate, a graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. • 45% marks or equivalent CGPA in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD category. • Candidates awaiting their final year results or those appearing for the final exams can apply provided they secure the minimum percentile required at the time of admission.

  4. Exam Pattern and Analysis Previous year’s CAT was moderately difficult with a few surprises. So, it is best to be prepared for this rigorous entrance test. The CAT exam pattern is as follows: • Section 1: Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability • Section 2: Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation • Section 3: Quantitative Ability

CAT Application Form Filling Procedure • The CAT application form must be filled within 30 minutes. • The online application window for CAT will open in the first week of August 2017. • You can visit the official website of CAT and fill up the registration form of 2017 by creating a profile. • After creating the profile, the user ID and password are sent by email and to the registered phone number. • Login in with the credentials and you can access the application form of CAT 2017. • Fill the personal and educational details correctly and verify them. • At the end, pay the prescribed application fees using payment gateways.

  6. CAT 2017 Counselling • Candidates, who clear and qualify the CAT 2017 exam, will be shortlisted for the next round. IIMs usually send call letters to the individuals separately. Counselling procedures for other business schools may vary from institute to institute. Candidates can visit the official website of the colleges to understand the procedure.
