  4. Bronze Awards 1st Bronze Star Holders of this award are unqualified to attempt any form of contact rescue involving a conscious person in deep water.

  5. Bronze Medallion • Holders of this award are recognised as having gained the minimum standard as a qualified lifesaver. The minimum age is 14 years or the year in which the candidate turns 14.

  6. Bronze Cross • Candidates wishing to develop their level of judgement, technique and physical ability to carry out a water rescue. Candidates are required to complete the Bronze Medallion Award.
