  7. Final Score CHIEFS 16JETS 14 Game notes SEESAW!!! That’s the only way to describe Saturdays game against the JETS… Both teams came ready to play and there was no lack of action during this thriller. An early fumble in the endzone gave the Jets a 2-0 lead and could have started a very long day for the Chiefs. The Jets would get grounded late in the game and return those two points…

  8. The Jets flew in looking for a victory but found a Chiefs team waiting to trade Bombs with the high flyers. After winning the toss and starting on Offense the Chiefs got off to a rocky start... On the second play of the game a fumble in the endzone put the Jets ahead 2-0. The Defenses on both teams stood strong against the run and pass, trading possessions…the Jets intercepted the ball, Brandon S. broke up a pass play for the 3rd down turn over, Aaron pulled flags off runners making it look EASY!!! The Jets finally raced down the field with a long run for a TD. The extra point attempt was denied by a great defensive effort. 8-0. With 4 min. left in the first half, the Chiefs took over and started with a long run by James up the side line for a first down. The Jets defense stopped the Chiefs cold. Kelsi, as always, put heavy pressure on the QB who had no time to look for open receivers and threw the ball up for grabs and was intercepted by Brandon B. Great turn over! A No run zone violation by the COACH resulted in a TD being called back, GREAT RUN. Nice play COACH DUH!!! To end the first half, Brandon S. knocked down another pass. Stopping the Jets!!! He was all over them!!!

  9. The second half opened with Luke saving a TD by tackling a player heading for the endzone, Luke was the last defender and stopped him. Way to go, Luke! Adam continues to dominate the field with his running style and ran down the side line for a TD. Missing the extra point the Chiefs closed the gap 8-6. On the Jets first play, Brandon B intercepted their pass. On Offense, Brandon Spangler ran for a first down setting up a pass to Nate who went in for the TD. Adam snagged the extra point attempt for 2 points putting the Chiefs ahead for the first time all day 8-14. The Jets cut short the Chiefs excitement on their next possession, Aaron saved a TD with a great tackle but the Jets scored on the next play With a sprint up the sideline. The extra point was no good tying the score 14-14. Both defenses again held and possessions were traded with no points. With less than a minute left, Kelsi made a dynamite tackle at the goal line pinning the Jets QB in the endzone. The Jets fumbled the next snap resulting in a safety putting the Chiefs ahead 14-16 with seconds left. The Chiefs ended the game with a 15 yard dash by James to run out the clock. Way to go Chiefs!!!!!
