  2. How Pretty Is The Walrus? • A Walrus is a large animal with flippers, a broad head, tusks and whiskers. • A male can be up too 9 feet 11 inches long. A female can be up too 7 feet 10 inches long. • Male Walruses weigh up too 3,700lbs. Female Walruses weigh up too 2,700lbs. • Walruses can be up too 6 feet tall. • Their color is pink to cinnamon brown. • There are 2 Kinds of Walruses :The Pacific Walrus and the Atlantic Walrus.

  3. How Long Does this thing Live? • The Walrus can live up too 40 years. • It is endangered because the ice is melting. • A Walrus can not stay in the water all day! • Ice is very important too the Walrus because that is where it lives. • Walruses are also endangered because of their tusks.

  4. How Cold, Or How Warm Is This Habitat? • The Walrus lives in the Arctic and Antarctic. • During the Winter it snows a lot. • In the summer it barely ever snows. • In the summer it is very icy.

  5. What Are The Landforms? • The Arctic is very icy. • There is a lot of snow. That makes it very white. • There are a lot of landforms including: Mountains, icebergs and more. • A Walrus doesn’t really have a shelter because it has a thick layer of blubber too keep it warm.

  6. I'm Hungry • Walruses like to hunt fish and penguins. • Walruses are great swimmers. so that's how they hunt the fish and penguins. • Walruses are carnivore. • All animals in the Arctic are carnivore.

  7. Babies! Barr Barr • At birth Walrus babies are about 4 feet long. • They stay with their parents until they are about 1 year. • They can swim when they are about 2 years old. • Walrus babies can be up to 2 feet tall.

  8. Where's My Prey AAHH A Predator • Walruses eat Penguins . • Killer Whales like too eat Walruses. • Walruses are good swimmers so are Penguins and Killer Whales.

  9. Physical Adaptations • Walruses tusks look like big candle sticks. • The tusks help them defend themselves against predators and to get onto the ice. • The Walrus has flippers and that helps them to swim. • Walruses have a thick layer of blubber that helps keep them warm

  10. Behavioral Adaptations • Walruses stay in large groups. This helps protect them from predators. • They communicate with each other by making sounds. This helps them warn each other of danger.

  11. Physiological Adaptations • The Walrus has a thick layer of blubber inside that helps it stay warm. The layer can be 3inches thick. • The Walrus good seeing so it can see it’s prey and predator.

  12. Do You Want Too Learn More? • Walruses tusks are really long they can be more than 3 feet. • People kill them because of their tusks. • There are more than 450,000 Walruses living.
