Bio-Psycho-Social Model • Biological Impact: • Brain releases chemicals that help people protect themselves, however in the long run this causes problems (rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, pain in muscles etc.) • Physical activity can serve to balance out this impact by releasing other positive chemicals. • Psychological Impact: • Thinking • Feeling • Social Impact: • Relationships • Social activities should be encouraged after facing a disaster.
