  2. How to Make a Wiki

  3. To get started, you need to go to www.wikispaces.com

  4. You will need to spend a few minutes to get familiar with the information provided on the homepage.

  5. Click the green button to get started

  6. Choose a username and password for yourself. Type an email address that you check regularly.

  7. The user name that you typed The email that you have provided Click “Create a New Wiki” to start

  8. No capitals and no spaces Select Protected (free) Click Create

  9. You will see a Getting Started screen. You need to have a look and then close it.

  10. Click New Page Page title You can delete this text and add your own

  11. 1. Page title2. Click Edit to start adding some text 3. You can save and add more pages after that.

  12. It is more like a word processing program now and you can start using it straight away.

  13. I will show you now how to publish PDF files, Word and PowerPoint documents on your Wiki.

  14. I will show you now how to invite students to join the Wiki and what privileges you can give them.

  15. I will also show you how to start a discussion on each page that you make and how students can take part in them.
