AFROTC Qualifications • Scholarship & POC entry • Citizen of the United States • 17 to 30 years old • Pass Physical Fitness Test • Pass DODMERB Physical • GPA Requirements: 2.5 AFROTC Qualifications • Must Be a Full-Time Student • Sign up for AFROTC Class & Leadership Lab • Height and Weight standards • Good Moral Character (few civil offenses/do not use drugs)

Scholarships • High School Scholarship Program (HSSP) – Is 4- and 3-yr Offers • High School Seniors (no full time college) • Apply on-line at www.afrotc.com 1 May – 1 Dec of Senior year • In-College Scholarship Program • based on order of merit and degree • Enlisted(4-, 3.5-, 3-, 2.5, 2-) • Active Duty Personnel (see website for information) • SOAR, ASCP, AECP Scholarships can be extended an additional year for SAF-approved majors (Varies by year, consult detachment staff)

Type I (4 year) – 5% of Awardees FULL Tuition and fees anywhere student goes (w/AFROTC) $900/year Flat Rate for Textbooks & Required Fees $300-500/month non-taxable stipend (pizza money) Type II (4 year or 3 year) – 25% of Awardees $18,000/year for Tuition Student CAN & MUST make up difference if tuition > than 18K/yr $900/year Flat Rate for Textbooks & Required Fees $300-500/month non-taxable stipend (pizza money) Type VII (4 year) “Targeted” – 70% of Awardees $9,000/year for Tuition Student CANNOT make up difference--tuition must be < 9K Student CAN opt to convert offer to 3 year type II $900/year Flat Rate for Textbooks & Required Fees $300-500/month non-taxable stipend (pizza money) High School ScholarshipProgram (HSSP)

Begins your sophomore year (if on scholarship) Or, when you enter the POC (Junior Year) Most Career Fields = 4 years of active duty service 5 year majors = 4 years and 10 months of active duty service Pilot = 10 years of active duty service Combat Systems Operator (Navigator) and Air Battle Manager = 8 years of active duty service Remote Pilots = 6 years Some career fields = 6 years Guard or Reserve Commitment to the Air Force
