  3. Declanşarea războiului 1914 – Atentatul de la Sarajevo, împotriva principelui moştenitor al tronului Austro-Ungariei, Franz-Ferdinand. Austro-Ungaria declara război Serbiei. Cele două alianţe politico-militare intră în război.
