  2. A paperless society eliminates the waste of paper through the use of electronics and recycling.

  3. Why should we live in a paperless society? • Less clutter for both manufacturers and consumers • Reduces the risk of identity theft • Save’s money Less paper and ink being bought • Better for the environment

  4. ...Continued • Save’s time – able to find documents instantly as well has receive them instantly • Space – no longer a pile of papers crowding the desk or counter

  5. Reducing the amount of paper we use helps reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that are released into the air. This is mostly do to the process of creating paper and delivering it.

  6. Paperless Society within the government • U.S. government is switching from paper check to digital ones • $1 billion can be expected to be saved over the next 10 years from the switch • People will need to switch to direct deposit by March 1, 2013

  7. How can we live in a paperless society? Online billing payments Online billing statements Online newsletters Mobile coupons Load-to-card coupons Direct deposit Submit online assignments Use eBooks Recycle unwanted paper Bag shredded paper, can be used for compost fodder Store backups of important documents on CDs, flash drive or external hard drive Reuse textbooks

By reducing the amount of paper we use we can help make the world a better place. • We can help contribute to the clean up of our planet by recycling the paper that we do use and help eliminate the usage of more paper. • By switching to online banking, billing statements, payments and other important work, we can decrease the amount of space paper consumes, the amount of money spent and increase our usage of time. • Take the time to look reflect on how you use paper
