  1. What does the young ride today? Lean, mean and quick! If you had to choose a new bike today from the Indian market, it would definitely not be the easiest of tasks in the motorcycling world. There are just so many to choose from and each of them has such stark advantages as compared to bikes that used to dominate the market in the past. There is no doubt that the market has changed significantly both in terms of what is perceived as a great bike as well as the performance parameters. Think about it, the needs that were for new model bikes 5 years ago and today have completely changed. There would be very few similarities to draw parallel to. So with the new needs of the market, which bike would classify under what criteria? -Pickup, power and pace: This should be one of the strongest criteria in the market today. The youth like a power packed engine that can both hit the city as well as the highways with relative ease. Yes, there would be many that can make the cut but would they be the perfect fit? These are perfect fits for the high speed market and come with tremendous pick up. -Design: There have been great improvements in the design aspect of bikes too over the last few years and sportier versions are preferred to a great extent. Especially with high speed bikes being in demand, most users want to pick new model bikes India that are better aesthetically and that are aerodynamic in nature. KTM Duke and RC series, the Bajaj RS 200 and even the Yamaha YZ R15 would fit the bill quite well. Most of the new bikes in India are looking towards the flashier side of the market and rightly so too. -Longevity and maintenance: Users today want to use bikes for the long run and that is why maintenance plays such a big role in the new bike India market. Nothing is as important as getting the right service for your bike and that is pretty much why Bajaj is doing much better than other competitors in the market today. With a wide network of servicing centres, there is no doubt that you would have constant service and never have to worry about performance issues. Why think about getting a bike that is not lean, mean and extremely sporty in design? That is the trend running in a market and you would have to look at these basic requisites – they form the perfect bike and would be all you need.
