  2. “All Men Are Created Equal” Thomas Jefferson said this quote in the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Thomas Jefferson once said that all men are created equal, a phrase that the Yankees and the distaff side of the Executive branch in Washington are fond of hurling at us.” • Atticus said this at the end of the case as his closing statement. • It’s based off a quote from the Bible Acts 17:26 Paul applied this principal when speaking to the Greeks on Mars Hill in Athens when he said: “And hath made of ONE BLOOD all nations of MEN for to dwell on all the fact of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation…” The ‘of one blood’ refers to the common descent mentioned above, and is consistent with the findings of modern genetics that every people group on the earth have basically the same genetic characteristics as every other.
