Uses for JusticeXchange • Monitoring probationers and parolees • Locating non-compliant sex offenders • Setting up watches for probationers, parolees, sex offenders and other wanted persons • Locating offenders with outstanding warrants • Tracking down dead-beat parents to collect overdue child support

  8. Additional Uses • Child Support Enforcement • Warrant service • Juvenile, Criminal, and Drug Diversion Investigations • Criminal Intelligence • Pre-Trial Research • Court Call & Fail persons • Watch for release of violent offenders, habitual felons, property crime offenders • Check for missing persons prior to NCIC entry • View photo history of offenders • Create photo lineups and wanted posters

  9. Success Story – Probation • Success often begins during your first log-on! • One probation officer responsible for monitoring program attendance has experienced a 100% success rate locating non-compliant probationers through the JusticeXchange watch feature.

  10. Success Stories – Sex Offender • Within one hour of beginning an investigation to verify addresses of non-compliant sex offenders, 40 offender addresses were verified, most in local facilities throughout the state. • A sex offender failed to verify his address. A possible address was found in JX, but the subject was no where to be found. A watch was placed on the offender, and three weeks later, he was booked in the Buncombe Co. jail. Durham Co. was notified via email.

  11. Additional Success Story • When checking active warrants against JX, we realized that 48% of the individuals had been through local facilities once and sometimes twice since the warrant issue date. • Durham is realizing manpower/resource savings monthly! We currently average 72 confirmed locates per month.
