  6. Reading • AR Guidelines Based On Individualized Point Goals/Book Levels/Tests % • AR=20% Of Reading Grade (Point Goals & Tests %) • Monthly Book Report (Beginning In September) • Nightly Reading Log (Signature Required)

  7. Language/Spelling • 4 Modes: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository & Introduce Persuasive • 5 Paragraph Essays • Cursive Writing • Reading Basal Spelling Words (Dictated Tests On Thursdays Every Other Week)

  8. Social Studies • American History Focus • Research, Student-Designed Projects, Rubrics • Technology: Web Quests • Cooperative Learning Groups

  9. Science • Scientific Method • Module Investigations • Solar Energy, Microworlds, Variables, Ecosystems • Loupes & Observations
