They are used as a plasticizer and stabilizer in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. ESBO is an yellowish viscous liquid. It is manufactured through the process of epoxidation with raw materials such as soybean oil, hydrogen peroxide and formic acid/acetic acid.
