Long ago in Old Miami Seven men had a dream. And they named it. Sigma Chi. They founded it on. Friendship Justice Learning. They didn’t accept things the way they were. They dreamed of how to make it better. They didn’t just create a Fraternity. They described a way of life.

  3. They founded it on . . . • Friendship • Justice • Learning

  4. They didn’t accept things the way they were. They dreamed of how to make it better.

  5. They didn’t just create a Fraternity . . . They described a way of life.

  6. They sought friendship. • “…appreciating that closer communion of kindred hearts which adds so many incentives to virtuous exertion…”

  7. They sought justice. • “…and that genuine friendship may be maintained without surrendering the principle of individuality or sacrificing ones personal judgement.”

  8. They sought learning. • “One and the main aim an object of Sigma Chi has been and is to develop and train broad minded men who can recognize the wholeness of things.”

  9. They sought to truly understand. • “…only as the ideals for which this badge stands take possession of my heart and become exemplified in my life will I ever kno wthe deepest meaning of the White Cross of Sigma Chi.”

  10. We honor them for the way they lived their lives. We honor them for their • Courage • Wisdom • Integrity • High Ambition • Self Control • Courtesy • Fidelity
