  2. Sardinians love to celebrate their culture and traditions. No matter where you are and what time of year, there will be a local festival happening.

  3. Festivals give any visitor to Sardinia the opportunity to experience some of the cultural heritage of the island.

  4. Sardinian festivals January - New Year's Eve in Alghero; Sea Urchin Festival in Alghero. February - Sa Sartiglia in Oristano; Bosa Carnival. March - The Artichoke Festival in Uri.

  5. April - Saint George's Day - April 23rd; Sardinia Day - April 28th. May - Sant'Efisio; Cavalcata Sarda. June - Cherries Festival; St. John the Baptist Day.

  6. July - S'Ardia Horse Race. August - The Archers Tournament; Fireworks and Fried Fish. September - ‘Fiesta Saint Miquel’ in Alghero; Festival of Saint Michael.

  7. October - Chestnut Fair. November - Mountain Products Agricultural Fair. December - Signum Judici.

  8. In the end of February ‘Sa Sartiglia’ in Oristano • It is the most spectacular and choreographed Carnival in Sardinia. An equestrian game with ancient origins in which brave costumed horsemen compete with another one in a tournament to wear a prized mask.
