  4. Construction firms in 10 years . . . • Lean permanent core staff with significant outsourcing • Increased specialization for small firms • Firms & staff will be fully computer literate

  5. International understanding, concepts, methods, activities, competition and partnerships will be a way of life for many firms Sustainability will be a significant driver Where will construction firms place their emphasis?

  6. Many firms will lead the return of the “master builder”concept – the leader with a holistic view of a project who takes responsibility for integrating all aspects. Where will construction firms place their emphasis?

  7. How will projects be different? • Significant use of collaboration and partnerships • More prefabrication of components • Energy issues (LEED)
