Me Book • Assignments and grade sheets are explained and assigned in class • Focus on the writing standards • Purpose is for students to enhance their writing skills through creating a memory book of their life’s experiences and memories • The ME BOOK will be returned in completion during the last week of school • Chromebooks & Moodle Edina Apps

  9. Math (continued) District Basic Facts Tests- final assessment at the end of the year 1. Addition - 30 problems / 60 seconds 2. Subtraction - 30 problems / 90 seconds 3. Multiplication - 30 problems / 60 seconds 4. Division - 30 problems / 60 seconds Passing is 90% which is 27/30 or better. 5. 5th Grade Algorithms

  16. Band and Orchestra Wednesday ALL band and orchestra students need their instrument, they will practice as a large group Tuesdays/Wednesday Band/Orchestra sectionals What are sectionals? Students miss class for 30 minutes to practice in a small group with only peers playing the same instrument. Students are responsible for finding out what they have missed and making up the work while they were gone.

Birthday Treats District rationale for restricting treats at school includes • Health and Wellness Policy • Loss of instructional time • Expense • Equity • Allergies Other Birthday treat options: • Donate a book to the class from the monthly Scholastic Book order • Donate a game or puzzle to the classroom indoor recess game cupboard. • Donate a book to our media center in honor of the birthday child. • Each class will celebrate in their own unique way
