  1. Rollover Avoidance System Dr. KhisbullahHudha

  2. 3 Approaches in Rollover Avoidance Technology • Rollover Rating Program • Rollover Warning System • Active Roll Control Suspension System

  3. Rollover Rating Program • Introduced by NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) USA in 2004 • A methodology for determining which cars are most likely to rollover and to assign rollover percentage risks for specific vehicle models • Rollover rating of a vehicle is obtained based on SSF (static stability formula) value and putting the vehicle into the real-world driving simulator for maneuvering tests

  4. Chances of Rollover

  5. What is SSF?

  6. Rollover Warning Systems • RWS is used to determine when a potential rollover condition exists based on real information such as vehicle weight, speed, steering wheel input, lateral acceleration and tire force, etc. • When a potential rollover condition exists drivers are bombarded with messages and instructed to reduce steering input or to decelerate the vehicle

  7. How RWS Works?
