Standard: Compare and order objects according to location and measurable attributes. • Knowledge: The student will be able to list the three main sizes, small, medium, and large. • Comprehension: The student will be able to explain why they decided that an object was big, medium, or small. • Application: The student will be able to choose out of three objects, the one that is the largest, smallest and the one between. • Analysis: The student will analyze the picture of three objects to come to a conclusion of which object is the largest. • Synthesis: The students will be able to organize the objects in order from small, medium, to large. • Evaluation: The student will compare the sizes of their hands to friends amongst them to see whose are smaller and larger. Target Grade Level: Kindergarten

  3. Small, Medium, and Big • By saying that something is small, medium, or large you are sorting it based on its size. • Objects come in all sizes but they all can be sorted into one group. That being a small group, medium group, or large group.

  4. Big An object is big if it is the biggest of all of the objects being compared

  5. Medium For an object to be medium it does not go into the large or small group. It is right in between. Not too large but not too small.

  6. Small The object that is the littlest of the rest is the smallest. There is nothing smaller than small.

  7. Can you guess which ones go into the small group? The big group? The medium group?
