  5. Agree or disagree • There is more surface water than underground water on Earth • 3% of the earth’s surface is freshwater • Icebergs have higher density, so they float • 76% of Earth’s Freshwater is ice

  6. Freshwater I. Water on earth • Of the earth’s water, 97% is salt, 3% is fresh (not salty) • Of the 3% fresh, 76% is in ice and 23% is underground • Only 1% of the 3% is actually available on the surface.

  7. What Does This Mean? You will each get a grid with 100 squares. You must represent the Earth’s surface in the following way: • Salt Water: black • Ice: blue • Underground: brown • Surface: green
