  10. Joy of Repentance

  11. Joy of repentance • How much you love= how much you repent, • God will forget a lot but he will always remember the love and repentance • Rev. 2: Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love • Tp please God, watch out how much you repent

  12. Joy of Repentance • I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance (lk 15:7)

  13. I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. (Lk15:7) • In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat." But He said to them, "I have food to eat of which you do not know." Therefore the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?" Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. (Jn4:31-34)

  14. Joy of Repentance(lk15:20-24) • And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. • And the son said to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, "Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry

  15. Joy of Faith Joy of Faith

  16. Joy of Faith • In The Centurion story: When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!" (Lk7:9) • Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. (Matt15:28) • But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Heb11:6)

  17. In The Centurion story • He was a good man, praised by even his opponents ( Jews). Moreover, he felt unworthy for our Lord to come to him • This was the first miracle our Lord did a miracle from a distance. • He was called to have the greatest faith

  18. bleeding woman • She was able to overcome the obstacles of feeling embarrassed, • Greek woman: reached a perfect level of faith. She knows that she is not deserving • She was willing to take his ignoring initially

  19. Joy of serving

  20. Joy of Serving • Share with God to bridge people to Heaven • His most Joy that all enter His Kingdom • Here am I and the children: This is the sentence we need to be all prepared to say • Imagine a father who is receiving his lost son on the hands of another, what kind of love this father has for this servant? • In the story of Tobit, Arch angel Rofael, returned the son and the father’s eyes were healed, how much joy • Serving gives 100X o

  21. Joy of serving • And again: "I will put My trust in Him." And again: "Here am I and the children whom God has given Me." (Heb2:13) • Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. (Dan12:3) • Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You." So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's (Mk10:28)

  22. Joy of Purity Joy of Purity

  23. Joy of Purity • In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. (Lk10:21) • But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses." Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him. (Matt 11:26)

  24. Purity • John the Daragy; Do not use big words in hi sprayer, when you pray use the words of children better than the philosophy of the wise. • whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child: the child accepts the gift with eagerness, runs with it, enjoy it, simple

  25. Joy of Purity • Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them. (Mk 10:16)

  26. Joy of Sacrifices

  27. Joy of Sacrifices • I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service (Rom12:1) • So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Heb 13:6) • Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all(Phil2:17)

  28. Joy of Sacrifices • And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD(Exo 29:41) • you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ(1Pet 2:5)

  29. Joy of Sacrifices • Commitment to prayer is a sweet aroma • bodies a living sacrifice: Use your bodies to offer a sacrifice ( prayer, fasting…) • Pouring yourself as a sacrifice= similar to the pouring of the sacrifice before God.

Come to the wedding. (Matt22:4)

  33. Joy of Humility

  34. Joy of Humility • Turn your eyes away from Me, For they have overcome Me. Your hair is like a flock of goats Going down from Gilead. (Songs 6:5) • Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for  "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." ( 1Pet5:5) • For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant;  For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. (Lk1:48)

BUT, he gad good things • 1- Insisting to get the birth right • 2- To get the blessing regardless!! • 3- When he was fleeing from his brother, he made an alter and was carrying the holy oil and made his prayer and promised God. 39. Q/A • All remembrance of Evil: when you remember the sins and fall back in the same issue i.e you become angry again because you remember an event • However, good remembrance is good to make you avoid repeated falling • At time of crucifixion: Was the devil unaware? • A: The economy of salvation was kept secret even from the angels. Devil is a fallen angel with limited knowledge. But He calls His father as a true father.

  42. Q/A • Rahab lied although she is one of our Lord’s genealogy. But remember she was initially a harlot when she lied. You consider her lie on the devil( king’s helpers). • Joshua was asked to kill all the foreign tribes but he let go of 2 kinds of people and they were the reason of troubles.
