  1. Nepal Insights - Muktinath Temple and its 5 nearby Tourist Attractions Muktinath Temple is situated in Nepal, and it is an ancient temple of Hindu Deity Lord Vishnu. This temple holds a very significant religious meaning between the two iconic religions, Hindus and Buddhists. It is one of the 108 Vaishnava shrines. In 19th century, Hindus has given name as Muktinath, the lord of Liberation. The name of the temple in itself holds grave deep meaning derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Muktinath’. The word consists of two separate word entity ‘Mukti’ and ‘Nath’. ‘Mukti’ means ‘Salvation’ and ‘Nath’ means ‘God’ or ‘Master’. ‘Mukti’ is essential for the spiritual people in the south Asian. Behind the origin of Muktinath Yatra, there is a small story. Hindu believes that Vishnu got curse from Jalandhar’s wife, Brinda. After that, he started worshipped as a Muktinath or the lord of salvation. There is some famous attraction near Muktinath. While doing Muktinath Yatra visitors can find these most famous five spots that are discussed below: 1.Jwala Mai Temple: This temple is situated in the south region of the Muktinath Temple. This is a very famous temple because of its spring, and burning flames appears directly from the soil, water, and rock. This full process is very natural. As per Hindus, this fire lighting comes from Lord Brahma. One more nearby place Dhola Mebar Gompa Monastery is worth of seeing. 2.Mukti Dhara: Behind the temple, Mukti Dhara is situated. It consists of a total of 108 Dharas. From these 108 dharas, bull-headed spouts always chill holy waterfalls which come from Gandaki River. There is a saying that this holy pond water rinses away your past sins and negative karma or actions. 5.Mharme Lha Khang Gompa: It is worth to visit this temple while going to the Muktinath tour. This temple is located in the northern region of Muktinath temple. This is devoted by the Guru Rimpoche who is also well-known as Padmasambhava. Here much astonishing clay idol is available which you will love to see and even surrounding saint too.
