  1. Why Vision Is the Most Important Sense Organ There are 5 sense organs named as vision, hearing, taste, smell, and touch on which a human body depends upon. 'Proprioception' can be defined as the perception of body position, is essential for balance and coordination in movement and also considered as the sixth sense. We rely up to 80% on our visual senses as compared to other senses as it's our eyes that protect us from danger when other senses such as taste or smell stop working. In other words, the other senses have to take over the work, if one sense is missing or stop working. The eyes play a significant role in this.

  2. How does the Eye See? Why are human eyes so much proficient? Primarily, it is because the human eye contains more components which collect information. When you see an object, your eyes don’t truly see it but your brain does. In the beginning, light enters in the eye, pupil (black center of the eye), and the iris (colored ring around the pupil) works collectively in order to extend or constrict the pupils so that proper amount of light enters the eye. After that, the light travels through, the cornea and the lens. Both cornea and lens work in tandem in order to focus the light ray on the retina. At the backside of your eyeball, there are two types of receptors known as cones and rods that support you observe the light. In the end, light is transmitted to your brain to help you see. Importance of Eye Exams Eye exams are an essential part of one’s general health maintenance and assessment, for both children as well as adults. Your eyes must need to be checked regularly in order to make sure that you are able to see as best as possible. Eye Exams and Children If your child is having trouble in school or developmental delays, there could be an underlying vision problem as most of the eye diseases don't have warning signs. Many eye diseases are accessible to treat in the beginning, so it is essential to diagnose any eye health and vision issues as early as possible.
