  1. WELCOME TO MS. LANGHAM’S ENGLISH 9 CLASS

  2. What is this class about? • This year we will be implementing a new Alabama Common Core Standards Curriculum. We will focus heavily on reading all types of literature and writing critically. In literature, you will be expected to read selected works from various authors throughout the new textbook as well as outside novels. These works will reinforce literary concepts, which you will be responsible for. In grammar, you will be working on various parts of speech, punctuation, and parts of a sentence, just to name a few. In writing, you will be expected to incorporate your knowledge of grammar in one of three. You will also be writing every day. We will also focus on academic vocabulary skills throughout the semester.
