  4. Ellie CaulfieldStudying: Liberal Arts at University of Bristol Honestly, I attended Altwood because I failed my 11+ but I’m glad I did! I loved my time at Altwood, the staff and students were always so friendly and it created a great working environment. There was always some sort of independence in my classes at school, whether it was a research project or finding my own sources for an essay. This not only sparked my intellectual curiosity but it also made me well prepared for university. It now means that I am a lot more independent and the transition from school to university was smooth.

  14. Oliver McEnteggartStudying: Mathematics at University of Cambridge Altwood School was welcoming, friendly, inclusive and supportive. The school provided lessons in subjects that I was particularly interested in. I had some inspirational and supportive teachers who helped and encouraged me to achieve my dream.

  15. KanikChelaniStudying: Chemistry at University of Leicester My experience at Altwood was unique; everyone was friendly, and I felt warmly welcomed by both staff and students. The sixth form environment was very new to me, but I quickly settled in and felt motivated to achieve something in my time there. I believe that the experience of studying difficult subjects at A-Level has prepared me for the amount of independent studying at university; these skills in communication and time management are key in succeeding as a professional.
