  2. What is the HVO KnowNET? • •A virtual workspace designed facilitate the exchange of information, knowledge and ideas • • A tool in your preparation process for your assignment with HVO • •An e-library with educational and professional development resources

  3. Accessing the HVO KnowNET Two options for accessing the HVO KnowNET: • Through a link at the top left of our homepage at http://www.hvousa.org OR • At http://www.hvo.projectspaces.com

Logging in to the HVO KnowNET Username = e-mail address that you provided HVO Password = first initial, last name All one word and all lower case • For example = John Smith = jsmith • We recommend that you do not change this password. Write down your username & password and keep it in a convenient place.

  6. Navigating the KnowNET Announcements Tab includes updates about •Upcoming meetings •New professional development materials •Special projects such as supporting HVO through your Amazon.com purchases

  7. Navigating the HVO KnowNET Program Information Tab • Most pertinent materials are available in the “Program Information” section, accessible by clicking on that tab

  9. Navigating the HVO KnowNET In chronological order… On the Program Information main page • The most recently posted documents appear in order down the center of the page •Although this can look intimidating, it’s an easy way to stay up-to-date with recent postings

  10. Navigating the HVO KnowNET By specific author, country or topic… •Use the Search Feature •Located in the upper right hand side of the page •Search by author or specific topics e.g. “Smith” or “Diabetes” or “Bhutan”

  20. FAQ Q: Help! I forgot my password! A: Try using your first initial and last name (e.g. jsmith). If that doesn’t work, send an e-mail to membership@hvousa.org requesting a new password. DO NOT use the link on the log-in page for forgotten usernames and passwords Q: Can I add documents to the HVO KnowNET? A: No, the HVO KnowNET is not enabled for users to post documents. If you have a resource to add, send it to membership@hvousa.org
