  1. Dear Kristy: Why Should I Hire a Recruiter? There are many areas in business where hiring someone to sit in that seat will really take the headache off of you. If you’re looking to take some of the pressure off hiring and recruiting, that is where a recruiter like Wylander can really help! Here are eight reasons to consider hiring a recruiter. Understanding the job market. At Wylander, we have worked in a number of markets across the U.S. This means we have a pretty good handle on what’s going on in each of those markets such as acceptable pay scales, how long it takes to find good candidates, and how large the candidate pool is – or is not. Staff specifically dedicated to filling your role. Not every restoration and flooring company has enough people on staff to have a dedicated recruiter! And it’s possible your HR person is already busy every hour of the day handling other necessary tasks within the company. By hiring a recruiter, you’re taking that burden off your internal staff and placing it on us, which is exactly what we are here for. We will have our eyes open for potential candidates constantly, and filter through any incoming applications for you. We take care of the posting and advertising for you. Speaking of filtering through any incoming applications, a recruiter can help deciliter your email! We will take care of getting a job description written up, and once approved by you will post it to some of the most popular job search sites out there! From there, we will filter through all the applicants while also looking for what we call “passive” candidates, or those who may not apply but are still interested in a new position. Between filtering through applications and searching for candidates on some of the top job search sites, we are greatly increasing the chances of finding that perfect fit for the open position at your company. Consider the first interview done. We do more than just sift through resumes and send good ones your way. When we find a good candidate, we walk through an initial phone interview with them. These interviews usually take 30 to 45 minutes and will answer a lot of questions relevant to the role you’re looking to fill. For example, if you’re looking for an estimator, we will pinpointhow much in volume they’re used to estimating in a

  2. year, gauge their Xactimate proficiency, find out how they are at building relationships with customers, and more. Hiring a recruiter Communication is easy. We will guide the ship from the start to take the pressure off of you. Once there are some candidates in the pipeline, we will coordinate all the interviews for you (based on your schedule, of course!), get them on your calendar, stay in touch with candidates throughout the process, and so on. All you need to worry about is responding to our emails and phone calls about candidates when they come through, and being prepared for interviews. A streamlined hiring process. This goes along with the communication point above. Having a recruiter really does streamline the entire process from start to finish. You AND the candidates will be working with the same recruiter from start to finish. We work hard to establish trust both from our clients and our candidates. We handle getting background checks done (that are approved by the major TPAs, by the way!), doing reference checks, sending personality assessments, presenting job offers, helping with negotiations from both sides, and more. We take the guess work out of the entire process. Have someone lobbying for YOUR Company! This might sound cliché, but we mean it – we love our clients. If a candidate is on the fence about a company, we aren’t afraid to lobby for you! We will share the good things about your company (with your permission, of course), and let them know why it’s going to be a great place to work! A hiring guarantee. We understand sometimes people just aren’t the fit you expected, despite all the possible due diligence, interviews, research, and so on. That’s why we offer a guarantee on our hires, which we can happily explain during a phone call!
