  2. Why do we have species declining in numbers? • Mostly human interaction with the species: • Overhunting • Climate change (caused by humans) • Destruction of habitat • Pollution • Introduction of invasive species

  3. Threatened Species • Species who’s numbers are low; they may become endangered Marine Iguana

  4. Endangered Species • A species who’s numbers are so low they are in danger of being extinct California Condor Lynx, Iberia Javan Rhino, Indonesia

  5. Extinct • A species which has lost all of it’s members and no longer exists. Wooly Mammoth- Artist’s rendering Trilobite Fossil
