Pre-2008) • Rising incomes – better wages for many (pre-2008)

  3. IMPROVED AIR TRANSPORT • Bigger jets – more passengers, lower prices • Faster jets – shorter flight times to long haul destinations • More airlines – budget flights. Competitive prices

  4. IMPROVED ROAD TRANSPORT • Increasing car ownership – able to visit the countryside / seaside for the weekend. • Improved motorway network – quicker travel times

  5. Internet booking – Flights / holidays • Almost half of us (49%)* booked a holiday abroad online last year according to the 2013 ABTA Consumer Trends Survey
