  2. HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE! Ancient Germanic, Slav and Celtic tribes in Europe celebrated Midsummer with bonfires. It was the night of fire festivals and of love magic, of love oracles and divination!

  3. Agenda • Roll Call • Miscellaneous/Housekeeping • Clarifications on Withdrawals, Discontinuations and SINA data • Advisor Batch Maintenance and 8.9 • ADUN Statistics (SINA Counts) • LOUIE Project Website Review • Some LOUIE 8.9 Highlights

  4. Miscellaneous • 8.9 Testing Volunteers - Delay • “No Updates Allowed” option change was completed on 4/25 • Advisor Comments (RADVIS) & Academic Standing (RSTNDG) • Ability to view Academic Standing Comments expanded • “SSTD” access now includes all members of the Academic Continuation Committee

  5. Clarifications Withdrawals, Discontinuations and SINA data • Premise: if a student has an active program, they will be considered by the SINA process • A term withdrawal does not impact program “activeness” per se • “W” withdrawal still counts as a term of enrollment • Discontinuation process timing results in a lenient application of the 3-term lapse policy • If you see more than a full 2-year spread of inactivity, there may be an issue • If they are on the report, technically they should have an advisor even if they appear to have left the university

  6. Advisor Batch Maintenance and 8.9 • Very little feedback received regarding concepts to not assign ADUN and/or to assign a committee other than ADUN for specific situations • We will be adding processing of Graduate career students • Logic Nutshell – if student changes plan: • If a statewide student, advisor will be brought forward • If not a statewide student, ADUN will be assigned. • A number of existing, small bugs will be addressed • I will be writing the 8.9 specification very soon

  7. ADUN Statistics • Counts are currently inflated due to high number of new student orientation enrollments • Report is available on the LOUE Project Web Site

  8. LOUIE Project Website Review Including 8.9 Project Status • http://www4.nau.edu/louieproject/

  9. LOUIE 8.9 Highlights • Disclaimer: We are currently working on understanding all the pieces of the new 8.9 version. All functionality you see today may or may not be fully tested and available in time for initial implementation. • What to Expect • Different Look and Feel • Different Navigations • Same functionality for the most part • Neat new features • Much improved Student Self Service • Student Services Center

  10. LOUIE 8.9 Highlights • Neat New Features • Left Side “Process-oriented” Navigation • Spell Check • Keyword Search • Favorites • Search Enhancements • Grids • Student Self Service • Student Services Center • Let’s take a look...
