  1. DEBATE IT! In competitive debates teams compete. The purpose is to train young people who may in future be required to debate and resolve matters. This is the best way to showcase your bright ideas. So all the people with bright ideas out there, let your ideas come out with flying colours.

  2. RULES & REGULATIONS : • Teams should be formulated out of a single college/institute only. • On the day of event all participants should be accompanied with their college Idz. • On the spot entries will not be allowed. • Teams should consist of minimum 3 and maximum 5 members only. • Each team should have a leader and it is mandatory to have the same person leading the whole team throughout the event. • Teams should report half hour prior to the event on the assigned venue. • If any participant is found abusing, then the respective teams will be disqualified immediately. • The final decision will be only with the judge and the respective committee , no interference of the teams will be tolerated. • When a person from a team is putting forth his point, then the participant from other team should remain silent.

EVENT FORMAT : • FIRST ROUND : • The topics given to the team are on the spot. • 5mis will be given to the team to recollect points and then the round will start. • The total time given for a round is 10mins. • A warnning bell will rung after 8mins and on completion of 10mins the round will be stoped at once.

  4. 2. FINAL ROUND : • It will be a extempore round. • The leader of the team will randomly pick up a chit and will speak over the topic. • 1min will be given to the leader in order to think about the topic. • Only leader will have to perform this task. • The time for extempore is 5mins.
