  1. Do Right Thing Anyway

  2. Our character is constantly challenged by those who would seek to benefit from the misfortune of others, by those who’s self interest trumps common sense, by those who do not wish us well. 

  3. How we choose to respond to the people who would chip away at our ethical armor either strengthens or weakens us. It all comes down to doing the right thing.

  4. Doing the right thing isn’t always easy. Sometimes, it’s hard to know what the right thing is. Your heart will usually point you in the right direction. Listen to it, feel the fear and do the right thing anyway.

  5. Contemplate all feedback. Integrate what is useful and let go of the rest. And be careful when you judge. We are all imperfect people struggling with our own demons. Righteousness is always clear in the rear view mirror.

  6. Be prepared. You will be tested. Remove yourself from the unacceptable.  Keep speaking up until you are heard. Keep pushing until you begin to effect change.

  7. Nobody is perfect. If you do the wrong thing, and you will, make it right as soon as possible. Bad judgment isn’t a problem, until it becomes a pattern.

  8. People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway!!!

  9. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

  10. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway!!!

  11. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway!!!

  12. The biggest person with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds; Think big anyway!!!

  13. People favor underdogs, but follow only top dogs. Fight for underdogs anyway!!!

  14. What you spend years building up may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway!!!

  15. People really need help, but will attack you if you help them. Help them anyway!!!

  16. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway!!!

  17. The good you do today, will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway!

  18. Give the world the best you have and it may kick you in the teeth. Give the world the best you’ve got anyway!!!

  19. Our ultimate destiny is determined by our daily deeds, especially those things we do when nobody else is watching. It’s easy to talk the talk. It’s much harder to walk the walk.

  20. Have compassion for the weaknesses of others, but model and expect accountability. History proves, again and again, that not doing what is right in pursuit of personal achievement ultimately leads to self destruction.
