Learning Objectives (55 sec): By the end of the session, participants should be able to: • Explain the role and responsibilities of the Chapter Program Chair and how it fits within Chapter strategic goals. • Defend the need to publish a full calendar of technical meetings with relevant programs early in the Chapter year. • List and detail several methods of soliciting Chapter members’ input on desired programming. • Describe several sources and resources for quality speakers and how to adequately “vet” them as both subject matter experts (SMEs) and effective speakers/presenters. • Detail what else goes into making a great technical meeting/program. • Effectively market your programs.
