  4. The Aims of KAT • Reduce animal suffering. • Protect the human population. How? • Animal Birth Control (ABC) program: sterilization and rabies vaccinations • Rescue & Treatment program: for sick and injured street dogs and cats • Public Education program: for adults and children

  5. The KAT Centre’s Animal Shelter

  6. The Results Since it opened in 2004, the KAT Centre has sterilized and vaccinated over 12,000 street dogs. More than 4,000 of these dogs were injured or sick and were rescued by KAT. The KAT Centre’s Education program is changing how the people of Kathmandu think of street dogs.
